Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned with an encore available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. Primary Feature

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program that can be used to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous additional tools and content that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief.
